Pet Peeves

I never have an answer to what pet peeves I have. I have a lot of gripes, but can’t come up with one on the spot. I guess I don’t perform well under pressure. So I figured I’d start a list. So without further ado:

1. “Last of” movies where the ethnic group in danger is killed off, leaving the sole survivor of a proud people to be an adopted anglo. Think “The Last of the Mohicans,” or “The Last Samurai.”
Appropriation of culture strikes again.

Kind of the creeps.

So I’m listing to my super awesome iTunes, when “Sealion” by Feist comes up on random. Over it- skip to next song. Which was “Sea Lion” by Sage.

Memoirs of an Overactive Imagination.

So today I found out about an “underground research facility” (that may be the real name) on Cal’s campus that tests on monkeys. I guess I was supposed to be like, “awww poor chimps.” But come on, you know what my initial reaction was. Holy shit! I’m not down for the rage. If I’m at work, I got maybe like 4 minutes. Max. At home, I’m not much better off, since I’m conveniently located next to BART. If one of the infected got on a train, and it successfully made its way down the route, I’m totally screwed as well. God forbid I was at Berkeley station when it all went down. I’d totally hop on the third rail.

Soooo…I guess what you could take away from this is that it’s needless to say I have an irrational fear of zombies. Don’t worry though, I have some survival techniques up me sleeve. Just ask my roommates, they know all about them.
